Package "Wish" List

Occasionally people ask about sending or bringing products and gifts that we cannot find in Brazil. Here are some items that we cannot find in Brazil or they are very difficult to come by. Do not feel obligated to get anything for us. Sometimes just a simple letter can be a great encouragement. Also, you may want to enclose a current photo of yourself to add to our prayer calendar. Keep in mind it may be best not to send: liquids, glass, or anything valuable (because it probably won’t make it to us).

Hygiene/Medical Products:
O Gillette Disposable razors (men’s & women’s)
O Crest Toothpaste- (Regular flavor is fine)
O Speed Stick Deodorant- (Regular scent or other is fine)
O Dental Picks (Small plastic picks with floss mounted on them)
O Band-aid brand band aids (elastic or type that seals off the entire cut)
O Children’s Chewable Tylenol (Or generic)
O Children’s Multi-vitamins from Wal-mart (Any kind but they liked the taste of the animal shaped ones & Flintstone Brand the best.)
O Adult Multi-Vitamin (Wal-mart brand “Equate” works fine)
Food Products (not quickly perishable or liquid):
O Flavored coffees- Carmel, French vanilla, ….
O Iced Tea Bags
O Packets of dressing mixes: Hidden Valley Ranch, Italian, etc.
O Fajita seasoning, salsa seasonings, guacamole seasonings, hot sauce seasoning
O Hot drink packs- cappuccino, cider, cocoa (with little marshmallows)
O Cold Drink mix- packets (w/o sugar will be cheaper to ship and we can add it later) we often drink bottled water so the little individual packets that flavor a bottle of water is nice)
O Peter Pan Peanut Butter- Our family favorite, expensive to ship but it fits well in a suitcase.
O Candy bars, M&Ms or Chocolate (individually wrapped works best so it doesn’t melt much.)
O Microwave Popcorn Packets (Various flavors)- Popcorn here is very chewy
O Others- See “Reusable Packing” below for some more items

Office Products (some small quantities available but expensive):
O Thank You Notes or Stationary
O Post-it type sticky notes
O AA Rechargeable batteries (Have NiMh type charger)
O Scotch tape
O Box tape
O Recordable DVDs
O SD Memory cards (1 gig or less works best and is cheaper)
O Pencils with erasers (they are hard to find here)

Kids Craft Supplies:
O Crayola- “Color Wonder” products
O Crayons
O Coloring books
O Construction paper
O Bulk Craft supplies (Michaela’s favorite pastime)
O Stickers
O Scrap-Book stuff (Michaela and Julie are into this)

Kids Gifts:
O Clothes & Shoes- (Call us for sizes if you want to send)
O DVDs- Newly released movies are not always available here
O Webkinz brand stuffed animals or others
O Webkinz trading card packages

Grown Up Gifts:
O Good Christian fiction
O Good Christian growth or Pastoral Help Books
O Recent Clothing Catalogs (so we know what styles people are using in the US)
O Recent American music

Reusable Packaging:
Bags of cereal, candy or other soft foods work great for packing material. Or also try: bags of cotton balls, travel packages of Kleenex, fruit snack packages, individual products in envelopes (Powdered drink mixes, Pastas, taco mixes).ZipLock Bags (with zippers): are great to keep things from spilling or melting into something else and we can reuse them. Also, if you blow them up and tape the opening they work great for “bubble” type packaging to fill holes and protect other items. We cannot get them here!

  1. So...someone sent us a huge Sam's Club size container of taco seasoning - delicious, but it has wheat flour, so I can't use it for us as a family. I'm trying to decide how I could get some of it to you...!
